The Art Fair 2015 is a new project aiming to enrich the art scene of Leipzig, one of Saxony’s main cultural centers, and to secure a place among Germany’s large-scale art fairs. The Leipzig Art Fair is comprised of different sectors. We will offer space for up-and-coming as well as for well-established galleries in order to present various artistic positions to a broad audience. Additionally, the Art Fair 2015 will offer a platform for artist and project groups, as well as for individual artists wishing to present their works. We know that especially the latter often face difficulties finding appropriate opportunities for presenting their works.
All too often, gallery representation is a prerequisite. However, as the fair’s primary focus is contemporary art and its tendencies, it would be counterproductive to overlook those who create contemporary dynamics. An international jury and a board of professional curators will ensure that the presented works and the presenting artists meet the highest standards. Whether you visit us for viewing or purchasing art, or simply for pleasure,
you will find that the program of the Leipzig Art Fair Leipzig is equally appealing for art connoisseurs and art collectors. As we believe that quality beats quantity, the fair is restricted to 50 exhibitors. We do not want for art to simply be passed by. Instead, visitors should take the time to absorb and truly experience what they see. The Art Fair 2015 is supplemented by various performances meant to bring a lively, pleasant atmosphere to the exhibition space. Our goal is that all visitors will leave the fair thinking “Art Fair Leipzig – I’d love to come back”.
