Palm Springs Fine Art Fair
The fifth annual Palm Springs Fine Art Fair returns to the Palm Springs
Convention Center February 11-14, 2016. Presented by 40+ art galleries and
dealers, the Fair offers a unique selection of art and design for
collectors, curators and art aficionados. “Our guests appreciate beauty
and they see the context of contemporary art and the designers of the Post
War era,” says Donna Davies, Vice President of Urban Expositions Art
Group.
The Opening Night celebration on February 11 benefits the Palm
Springs Art Museum, which includes the Architecture and Design Center in
downtown Palm Springs. The 2016 honorees include Barbara and Jerry
Keller - Arts Patrons of the Year; Larry Bell - Lifetime Achievement
Award; and Ralph Gibson - Photographer of the Year. Along with PSFAF
honoree events, programming for the Palm Springs Fine Art Fair includes
the panel discussion Light, Space and Architecture in Palm Springs,
which features LA-based architect Frederick Fisher, whose designs
include Sunnylands Center and Garden at Annenberg Retreat and the Lois
& Robert F. Erburu Gallery, The Huntington Library & Gardens,
along with Light and Space pioneering artist Larry Bell, the 2016
recipient of the PSFAF Lifetime Achievement Award; and Katherine Hough,
Chief Curator, Palm Springs Art Museum. Art critic and writer Peter
Frank moderates the panel that is being presented in conjunction with
Modernism Week. For more information and a complete schedule,
