Beijing Tomorrow Art Gallery successfully presented a seminal art and technology event opening July 17th , 3 – 6 pm with demonstrations to continue everyday 10 am – 6 pm through to July 23rd at Beijing 22nd Art Center (near the Today Art Museum), Pingod District of Shuangjing, Building 3A-008.
Beijing Tomorrow Art Gallery is the first and only art gallery within China dedicated solely to the promotion of Western Digital Arts featuring concept models as well as full scale artwork designed by American digital artists: Bruce Beasley, Dan Collins, Daniel Henderson, Jon Isherwood, Greg Locke, Ron Kowalke, David Morris, Mary Bates Neubauer, Mary Ellen Scherl, Robert Michael Smith, Kenneth Snelson, Mary Visser, Andrew Werby. In addition to the digital art exhibition, the gallery will also introduce the various emerging technologies used to design and manufacture Digital Sculpture, such as 3D laser scanning, haptic modeling device, and rapid prototype 3D printer. The primary purposes of the gallery are to develop a platform for communication between Western digital technologies with Chinese traditional craftsmanship, to maintain open dialogue between New York digital cultures with Beijing international art market, and to incubate an advanced digital design/manufacturing infrastructure within China.
