biography of George Washington SULLY (1816-1890)

Comments: Was in Florida 1832-34 & 1839, where he made numerous sketches. In New Orleans he painted watercolor scenes of sites in the city and by 1862 he and his family had moved to Covington. Nephew of Thomas Sully (see entry).
