biography of Carl BUSH (1890-?)

Comments: Veteran of WWI. Worked for many years as Washington Cathedral's sculptor-in-residence, and designed the models for numerous internal and external architectural carvings. He first became associated with the Cathedral as a draftsman and sculptor working for Cathedral architect Frohman. Bush left to work for the federal government when Cathedral construction diminished in the 1930s. In 1955 he retired, and returned to the Cathedral as sculptor-in-residence, until 1970.
