Comments: Popular landscape painter whose work was always in great demand; his paintings were often reproduced lithographically and mass distributed through retailers such as Sears, Roebuck, and Co., in the form of prints, wall murals, and place mats. He came to U.S. in 1911 and traveled throughout the country before settling in California. His most popular landscapes are of the Texas hills and fields of bluebonnets, the California coast, and the Rockies. He also painted in Mexico and Canada.
