Comments: A "School of Paris" painter, he made his first trip to NYC in 1932, then returned to settle there in 1935. By 1946, he was dividing his time between his studio above La Grenouille restaurant in NYC, and a home in New Milford, CT. He painted in Tahiti in 1932, 1941, and 1978. He painted murals for the ocean liner "France," and for leading NYC restaurants such as Côte Basque.
