Comments: Although trained as a musician, Scriver became a taxidermist. He established the Mus. of Montana Wildlife in 1956 (Scriver Museum) which included his sculpture, dioramas, and taxidermy. The museum was destroyed by fire in 1975. In 1962, he had his work cast in bronze for exhibit and in 1967 he began sculpting full-time. Preferred media: clay, bronze.
