Artwork description

Oil on rice paper, signed, dated 1995 & titled in pencil at bottom part. Chinese visual artist graduated from Shanghai Light Industry Institute in 1986. While realism dominates Chinese avant garde, Shanghai moving pulse encourages abstraction. His work from the mid to late nineties was well ordered while more recent work are much freer. Marks looser than the more linear constructions of earlier pieces. Works are numbered to unable associating works with a realistic image. Many international gallery, museum exhibitions & articles including 'Asian Art Museum's 'Shanghai' a taste of exhibits to come' in Los Angeles Times in 2010. Public auctions on similar sizes did results up to 50000 €.
