In Moonlight the Artist represents a young, naked and exhausted woman fighting with her struggles personified by a scaring and undefined mask overlooking on her. She's holding with her left hand a bloody sword and presents a wound on the same side. The mask is threatening the young lady, watching her steadily and relentlessly. The lady is desperate, temporarily unable to overcome that sense on deep bewilderment and duress; She tried to kill her fears, but couldn't!!! The face expression looks worn by her inner struggles, but nicely
made up: she still there to contend and in spite of everything she'll resist protected ideally by her beauty. Mainly characterized by a Dramatic theme, the Work stands out for its strong descriptive intensity which generally causes a sincere emotional involvement of the viewer.
Vesna Krsmanovic (Kragujevac 5 May 1986 -Serbia) is a Serbian Painter, Architect and Interior Designer:
Vesna demonstrated extraordinary artistic talent in her early years, painting in an unconventional manner through her childhood and adolescence. Due to her carefree chilhood mainly spent in the grandfather countryside ranch, she grew up with a strong sense of freedom which will characterize her works in the future.
At the age of 14 she moved to Belgrade to attend the High School for Design - Industrial and Intertior Design Department and later on the University at the Faculty of Applied Arts - Interior Architecture Department. As student she showed a huge potential and was appointed for several years the best student of the high school and University gaining relevant scholarships from the Serbian Ministry of
Education, City of Trstenik, Republic Foundation for Developing Science and
Artistic Youth and Found for Young Talents.
The 7 July 2010 she concluded the University studies graduating with top score. Immediately after the University she started travelling around Europe, in particular to Italy, Greece, Spain and Turkey; those journeys and a short but turbolent experience in the United States deeply influenced the evolution of her Works. During the period 20 July - 05 August 2012 took place her first Solo Exhibition in the
"Udruzenje Samostalnih Umetnika Fotografije Srbije", Gallery - Belgrade.
The main characteristics of her works can be found in the instinctive and modern approach enriched with a dynamic chromaticism and intresting thema tics. Vesna generally loves to represent the female universe through various styles and fragments of life: eccentric, arrogant, weak, scared, stunning, fighter, sensual, attractive, cold, passionate. These are all the elements which take part in this renewed idea of the modern women; all these elements are somehow part of the Artist's complex and charming personality.
