Additional Information: This lithograph is hand signed in pencil “Edward Ruscha” at the centre of the lower sheet, verso.
It is hand numbered in pencil from the edition of 100, at the lower left corner. It is also dated “1973” at the lower right corner.
The lithograph was printed by Advanced Graphics, London and published in 1973 by Bernard Jacobson Gallery, London.

From the early 1970s Ruscha began to turn away from his iconic Gas Station Americana and started making drawings and paintings of single words or short phrases placed against soft unmodulated backgrounds. They all appear as the main focal point, appealing to the artist for both their visual and phonetic forms but they also took on paradoxical resonance in isolation from their mundane contexts.

Condition: Very good condition. One minor area of skinning in the upper left sheet, verso. Remnant of adhesive tape, verso.
