Landscape painter of the nineteenth and twentieth century born in Vilanova in 1859 and died in Paris in 1930.
He started art with the painter Joan Miró Ferrer, after studying at the Barcelona School of Fine Arts.
He went to Paris to extend his Art studies for two years. When he returned to Catalonia, he was appointed Professor of painting and drawing at the School of Arts and Crafts in his hometown, but after a time he returned to Paris. He presented paintings in Paris from 1904 until 1914 with such success, that the City named him Artist of the city of Paris and gave him permission to leave his horse anywhere in Paris. Dealers looked for his work and his paintings were exhibited and sold at the Auction house “Hotel Drouot”, illustrating his successes.
