The edition is accompanied by the original certification of authenticity from the publisher as descended from publisher Isidro Clot and Dali himself. Further, this edition has been accredited by the Gala-Salvador Dali Foundation in Figueras, Spain.

"Dragon Swan Elephant" is the perfect representation of Dali Paranoiac -Critical method, utilizing multiple images and optical illusions. The technique consists of the artist invoking a paranoid state (fear that the self is being manipulated, targeted or controlled by others). The result is a deconstruction of the psychological concept of identity, such that subjectivity becomes the primary aspect of the artwork. Depending on perspective, the sculpture represents a fearsome dragon, a serene Swan or a lumbering elephant with ears flapping in the wind.
