"...In the painting The People, also 2018, no lone figure appears at all in a scene of somber blue, purple and black as the mass of humanity crowd together jostling each other on a dimly lit sidewalk. These paintings speak to a sense of being lost and alone, despite the presence of others, of being an unrecognized human being amidst the crush of mankind."(c)

Barbara Pollack Award-winning journalist (Vanity Fair, The New York Times, the Washington Post, Artnews)

Alexander Aizenshtat about the painting:

"Among my works there are many paintings that depict figures walking or standing in a row. In this case, this is a bit unusual form - they are mixed, they are different and a little tragic. This refers to the people in general (people) and the Jewish people in particular "The main one is an attempt to touch on the topic of the tragedy of human existence in general, and hence a rather intense range of colors."
