MR BRAINWASH - Balloon Girl

Mr. Brainwash became a household name with The release of Banksy’s movie “Exit Through the Giftshop” in 2010. With the recent sale of Banksy’s purple “Girl With Balloon” print at Christies for $1M USD, we wanted to show you Mr. Brainwash’s homage to his mentor, “Balloon Girl” (2020). This mixed media with silkscreen on paper is a unique riff on the placidity of Banksy’s original image, in the cacophonic style of Mr. Brainwash. Mr. Brainwash’s nostalgic works take images familiar to us and present them in an off-kilter way.
