Cactus of life

According to the author's words: “It is the first work in my line“ Hombres Mexicanos ”and it is one of the few tribute paintings that I have done; Inspired about “Woman with gannets” by Diego Rivera. However, the cactus in the background is another tribute to Jorge González Camarena, of whom I have always admired his use of color and shapes. The cactus in turn has elements of life such as fruits and the plant itself, as well as a heart, but it also has the elements of death represented by skulls, making an association of life and death as a dual concept ”.
