His limited production reflects a short and gripping human destiny. He painted from 1924 to 1937. From 1930 he isolated in the Landala simple one-room flat with his mother & younger brother. He concentrated entirely on his painting and then created the works that are the highlights of his production. About 50 works can be dated to these years, mainly concentrated on interiors, still lifes, window views and self-portraits.
