This romantic painting from the Berlin studio of acclaimed Canadian painter Peter Hoffer is lush, rich with color, and has the surrealism of being in the interior of the forest. The painting has a liveliness that is enhanced by the resin on the surface of the work. Subtle natural hues of magenta, green and soft grey blues.

Born in Brantford Ontario in1965, Hoffer has a M.F.A. from Concordia University in Montréal, degrees from the University of Guelph, Ontario, and the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. He has lived and worked in Toronto, New York City, Montreal and now maintains a significant studio practice in Berlin, Germany.
