Comments: Dearborn took up wood engraving in Boston about 1811, and for over forty years was one of the city's leading engravers. He died at South Reading (Mass.) on November 7, 1852. His son, Nathaniel S. Dearborn (see entry), also was an engraver and plate printer; the two worked together from 1836 to 1838 as Nathaniel Dearborn & Son.
