biography of Edwin Weyburn GOODWIN (1800-1845)

Comments: During a career of about 15 years Goodwin painted at least 800 portraits in up-state New York. He was at Auburn in 1836 and he made his home in Albany during the last five years of his life, though he died in Ithaca. His son, Richard La Barre Goodwin, was also an artist (see entry).
