Comments: Grozelier came to the United States in the early 1850s and worked as a portrait painter in NYC in 1852 and as a lithographic artist in Boston from 1854 probably until his death in 1865. In 1854 he was working for S. W. Chandler & Brother of Boston (see entry). His most renowned work is Portrait Gallery of Distinguished Americans", which were copies after daguerreotypes, like many of his portraits. In 1855 he married Miss Sara Peters, miniaturist (see Mrs. Sara Grozelier).
