Profession: Stipple engraver

Comments: Engraver of a stipple portrait of David Stoner, published in America in 1835, and a portrait of Washington, published in London. This may be George Stodart, an English stipple engraver who did reproductions of sculpture for the Art Journal for about 30 years until his death, December 28, 1884. It is not known whether he ever worked in America.
