Comments: The second partner was Simeon Boerum, but the identity of Barton is uncertain. Groce and Wallace speculated he may have been either Edgar F. Baton (or Barton) or Henry C. Baton, both listed as engravers in the 1857 directory, although not at the same address as Barton & Boerum. No other engraver named Barton is listed.
