Comments: A descendant of John Adams; he was wounded at Vicksburg in the Civil War. Adams had a studio in St. Louis, 1878-85. He painted Custer's Last Fight," 1884-85, which was exhibited around the country and hung in Fort Bliss, TX, until it was destroyed in a fire in 1946.
