ChineseArtwork description
Li Kai was born in Beijing, and developed a fascination for painting from a young age.
He enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts. His school was near the Forbidden City, which left a deep mark on the painter's soul and mind. He often represented it through his art.
Li Kai graduated in 1967 and became a member of the Chinese Artists Association.
His work was exhibited with success in Japan, France, America, Australia, Singapore, Mexico and Hong Kong.
His oeuvre expresses power and exhales a certain atmosphere; the color tones are not always homogeneous. His style can also be infused with realistic methods. In a larger perspective, his paintings express the beauty and the mystery which emerge from this place full of History.
