This panel depicts the theme of Ecce Homo, with a half-length Christ against a dark background. The tenebrist lighting, artificial and directed, falls directly on the face, leaving the rest in semi-darkness and creating expressive chiaroscuro effects that give the volumes a naturalistic quality.
