This polychrome bronze sculpture (Edition of 8 plus 4 proofs- 37.5cm x 37.5cm x 35cm) is in excellent condition and accompanied by the original certification of authenticity the Gala-Salvador Dali Foundation in Figueras, Spain. Further, is it noted in the comprehensive Catalogue Raisonne of Dali sculpture, "Le Dur et le Mou", by Robert & Nicolas Descharnes [pg. 146-147, Ref #379]."Le Moment Sublime" (1972) is Dali's the three-dimensional realization based of Dali's eponymous 1938 painting in the Stattsgalerie Stuttgart, Germany. Dali brings together dissimilar objects of daily life in a magnificent Dadist construction using eggs, a sardine, a razor blade, a snail, a dish and a telephone. Using disparate elements,Dali attempts to tell an unlikely story of a telephone conversation between the Allies and Hitler in the run-up to war. It is a museum-level masterpiece which is certain to be the centerpiece to a major collection.
