Art Deco benchmark, complete original pieces & box. 390g. Hallmarks on the gravy boat at the level of the "Gallia" pedestal then 0422 then Goldsmith's punch "OC" and the chess rider. On the spoon under the head "Gallia" then punch of Goldsmith with the initials "OC" and the chess rider. Danish Creative Director at Christofle & an artist apart in the history of goldsmithing. At the 1921 Salon d'Automne, his creations were noticed by Christofle, whom he joined and became Head of creation in 1925. He collaborated 15 years with the world's leading goldsmith in turnover and distribution. At Christofle workshop, he uses silver, tin & natural materials, such as horn, coral, amber. Favoring the purified and stripped geometrical forms, with just like here discrete patterns of nets, checkerboards, rolls ... By its organic and sensual approach of the form & the matter, it contributes to the revival of the goldsmithery in the XXth century.
