Carlo VANCHIERI - Incontrazione

The painting took part to a special competition, arranged by Studio Giambo (Firenze), winning a special Jury prize (a Diploma), out of competition itself. This event is named " Un Gonfalone per l'Arte: Lenzuola Dipinte ", organised for S.Lorenzo's neighborhood in Firenze. It consisted of laying down the whole sheets along the outer neighborhood areas. Making the draft, my intention focused way too far from just a neighborhood meeting, becoming a universal meeting though, through those shapes. About technique, it is made by acrylic painting on heavy cotton. On the upper side is located a aluminium stick; on the lower, instead, a swooped wire. So, the final effect, is not that " stiff " but more soft, instead, just like a laying sheet.
