"The Keep" by Sir Francis Seymour Haden (English 1818-1910)

     * Drypoint
    * Signed in pencil at lower right
    * Signed and dated "Seymour 1877" in plate at lower left.
    * On mat small "II.151" in pencil at lower right however my research indicates that this is . Schneiderman 158 - 4th state.
    * "The Keep" in pencil on mat at bottom centered.
    * "2335 Keep" in pencil at lower left.
    * "55" in pencil at upper right.
    * Same print is in the collection of the British Museum. Their description is:  Corfe Castle in the background;
    * Corfe castle is in the county of Dorset, England
     * Mat size 13 1/2" wide x 11 1/4" tall
    * Framed. 15 1/4" x 13" overall. 

    * Toned
    * Small light stain centered at bottom which has been retouched.
    * Glue tacked at extreme upper two corners
    * Otherwise in very good condition.
