    * Paper label on reverse: Well-known European contemporary artist famous for his outstanding individual technique and originality in capturing the true feeling and atmosphere of artist street scenes. He has been awarded top honors in many noted exhibitions throughout Europe. In 1949 he first introduced his famous original oil paintings on tile in U.S.

      * I have seen the identical label with M. Maresca instead of A. Maresca which leads me to the conclusion that it is the same person.

    * A. MARESCA incised on small brass plate tacked to frame.

    * Frame in excellent condition.
