Tagger, graffiti artist, NEBAY’s field of action is the urban landscape and the paintings he creates in his studio. Since 1987, he is an active member of the collective JCT (Je Cours Toujours!). In 2005 in Paris, he hijacks brands and slogans of advertising posters, especially luxury ones, by taking the path of humour. A street artist above all, Nebay wants to make contemporary art accessible. He presents a simple and effective painting that is understandable by all. In his 2019’s collection, Nebay invites us to discover sublimated hidden messages visible on the canvas from certain angles, using quotations from famous humanist personalities. |
