This art work by Egyptian prominent modern artist Hamed Abdalla (1917-1985) , was painted in 1970 at his atelier in Le Val d’Or (Paris suburb) after he got depressed from the political situation in the arab area, after death of Gamal Abdel Nasser and crisis of panarab vision. The work is title “Torn”, formed by the Arabic letters of “almoutamazuq” and suggest with a wide and colorful brushy mouvement a fellow sitting nowhere, hands on the head. Actually this piece is in the hands of the little son of Abdalla, Bilal, among his collection named “La Belle Collection”. A authenticity certificat shall be held.
