Signed and numbered 21/130 in pencil by H.Matisse.
The presented lithograph comes from the portfolio "Ten Dancers". The series consisted of ten black-and-white works (four vertical and six horizontal) - sketches of ballerinas in a behind-the-scenes environment.
The world of Matisse is a world of dance, music and musical instruments. His style is distinguished by the flexibility of lines that convey a variety of silhouettes and outlines. Matisse's goal is to draw the viewer into this atmosphere of ideal images and dreams, to give him a sense of peace.
