SERVANDO, born in Havana, Cuba in 1923, studied at the San Alejandro Academy in Cuba & the Art Students League in New York. He also attended La Grande Chaumière in Paris.  

After a cubist period, -including this masterpiece here-, he turned to revolutionary-inspired realism &, -in the 70s-, to intimate eroticism.

His first solo exhibition was at the Lyceum, Havana in 1943.  In addition to group exhibitions, he participated in the Venice, Mexico & São Paulo Biennales.  His work can be found in museums, galleries & private collections worldwide.
